Legislative District Committees
Legislative District Committees are groups of local progressive activists made up of NJCA's volunteer and membership base and local allies. They are a select group of concerned citizens who contribute time, energy, and expertise to NJCA issue campaigns. LDC members are organized according to New Jersey's three general territories: Northern, Central, and Southern (listed below by counties).
In general, LDC members do the following:
- attend meetings with local legislators and Congressional representatives
- participate in local NJCA activities and events
- assist with organizing events on the basis of personal interest, time, and experience
- occassionally assist with administrative projects (large mailings)
- act independently to help NJCA achieve goals (i.e. bringing petitions to work or school, forwarding email alerts)
- participate in periodic meetings and conference calls.
To apply to become a LDC member, please fill out the brief online application for your region and an organizer will get in touch with you.![]()
