New Jersey Citizen Action PAC Endorses Vic DeLuca For Maplewood Township Committee

TAPinto — October 4, 2017

Letters to the Editor

Dear Mayor DeLuca,

Congratulations! New Jersey Citizen Action's Political Action Committee (PAC) is proud to endorse your campaign for reelection as Maplewood Township Committeeperson. As a statewide grassroots organization that fights for social, racial and economic justice, Citizen Action pays very careful attention to the critical issues facing New Jersey's working families and seniors. Your leadership over the last eighteen years on the Township Committee, twelve of them as Mayor, and the principled positions you have taken on issues related to health care, labor, good jobs, housing and the environment reflect the kind of leader voters need in Maplewood.

You have shown a strong support for the major concerns facing our members and public at- large. During your tenure as a local elected official, you have promoted a progressive agenda and been an advocate for social, economic and political justice in the state and nationally. You have consistently supported NJCA's issues, including health care for all, paid sick days, an expanded family leave program, a $15 minimum wage, affordable housing, immigrant rights, women's reproductive health care and rights, and a fully funded pension.

You have been a leader among NJ mayors for marriage equality, sensible gun regulations and environmental sustainability. Most recently, you signed on to the Mayors' Compact to Combat Hate, Extremism and Bigotry.

With Phil Murphy in the Statehouse, we look forward to moving a positive progressive agenda in New Jersey. And nationally we value your commitment to continue to fight back against the reactionary, racist and regressive policies of the Trump Administration and the Republican Congress.

Once again, NJCA's PAC is proud to endorse your campaign for Maplewood Township Committee. We will be working to educate and mobilize our members and voters to get to the polls to reelect Vic DeLuca to Township Committee on November 7, 2017.
