Attend Women's March

West Essex Tribune — January 11, 2018

Letters to the Editor

On January 20, please join your friends and neighbors for the Women's March in Morristown. Held on the first anniversary of the largest march in American history in Washington DC, it promises to be an inspiring event, right here in our own backyard.

Sponsored and hosted by Action Together NJ, BlueWaveNJ, League of Women Voters of the Morristown Area, Mobilizing Montclair, NJ Citizen Action, New Jersey Working Families Alliance and NJ 11 for Change, the theme of the march is "Power to the Polls."

Throughout 2017 and now in 2018 there is a lot of energy building to remind our elected officials that they answer to us, the people. There has been an unprecedented groundswell of awareness and activity to counteract what is coming out of Washington that is not in the best interests of New Jerseyans. We have a midterm congressional election coming in November that is critical to us here in the llth Congressional District. A large showing in Morristown will demonstrate that we care not only about women's issues but all variety ofhuman rights, and we are not afraid to speak out.

The March will begin at 11 a.m. and conclude by 1 p.m. Go to this site to find out more and register to attend so officials can properly prepare for an excellent showing!
