Seth Hahn is leaving the CWA to join NJ United, a non-profit run by Julie Roginsky to promote Assembly Speaker Craig Coughlin's agenda.

A top political lieutenant of progressive labor leader Hetty Rosenstein for a decade, Hahn will now play a key role in building grassroots and political support for issues connected to the Assembly Democrats.

"I am incredibly happy to have someone of Seth's talent and experience join our team," said Roginsky. "I look forward to having him contribute his expertise in moving New Jersey towards fiscally responsible policies that protect working middle class families."

Hahn has worked for the Communications Workers of America for ten years and is the New Jersey Legislative and Political Director. He's also served as treasurer of the powerful CWA PAC.

For NJ United, Hahn brings strong progressive credentials. He is a board member of the New Jersey Working Families Alliance and New Jersey Citizen Action, and was a Budget Committee member for Gov. Phil Murphy's transition team.

In 2016, Hahn was elected as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention pledged to Bernie Sanders.

After graduating Princeton University in 2004, Hahn was a field organizer for Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle's re-election campaign in South Dakota. He was the national field director for the National Association of Letter Carriers before joining the CWA in 2009.

NJ United is a 501(c)4 and will be required to release its donors in accordance with a new state law passed this year with Coughlin's support. Roginsky pledged several months ago to voluntarily release the donors by the end of the year.
