Toms River Library To Host Foreclosure Prevention Speaker

Toms River Times — Wednesday, July 18, 2012

TOMS RIVER — Because of the economic downturn, many homeowners in our local area are impacted by the real possibility of foreclosure. Members of the public are welcome to attend a free presentation on foreclosure prevention on July 31 at 7 p.m. by Victoria Lindsey, NJ Citizen Action Coordinator of Loan Counseling and Financial Education in the Green Room of the Toms River Branch of the Ocean County Library. Victoria, who has a masters degree in education, has worked for NJ Citizen Action for two years. NJ Citizen Action, celebrating its 30th year as the state's largest citizen watchdog coalition, is a HUD certified agency which works to protect and expand the rights of individuals and families. In addition to presentations on foreclosure prevention, Ms. Lindsey also speaks on predatory lending, first time home buying, budget and credit counseling, Home Keeper program and Mediation.

This program (not to be confused with the July 21 event on foreclosures which Congressman Runyan is holding at OCC) is sponsored by the Jersey Shore Catholic Worker. Space is limited.
