New Jersey Working Families, BlueWaveNJ and New Jersey Citizen Action, liberal advocacy groups, have filed a lawsuit against Governor Chris Christie and his presidential campaign, saying taxpayers should not have to pay for the cost of his security detail when he is traveling for political purposes. The suit was filed in state Superior Court in Mercer County.

According to a report in The Record, the governor's office sought nearly $185,000 in reimbursement from the New Jersey State Police for trave-related costs for Mr. Christie's security detail for the first three months of the year.

A spokesman for the paper said Gov. Christie is following the same policy as previous New Jersey governors when they traveled outside New Jersey.
