The Coalition for Peace Action is organizing a carpools from the Princeton Shopping Center to a "Rally to Put a Stop Payment on the Blank Check Authorization of the Iraq War," which will be held from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at the State House steps, 125 West State St., Trenton.
Carpools from the shopping's center's Rite Aid side will leave at 11:15 a.m.
Confirmed speakers include Ladonna Blount, organizer with NJ Citizen Action; the Rev. M. Muriel Burrows, pastor of Witherspoon Street Presbyterian Church and mother of an Iraq war veteran; Tiffany Cheng of Rutgers Against the War; Carol Gay of NJ Labor Against the War; Kathy Hollings, associate director, Coalition for Peace Action; the Rev. Robert Moore, executive director, Coalition for Peace Action; and Sharleen Leahy, a Somerville-based performer, who will sing peace-oriented music.
