Newark–New Jersey Citizen Action’s (NJCA) PAC Board today announced its endorsement of Cindy Matute-Brown for West Orange Mayor. The Board made its endorsement based on Matute-Brown’s commitment to good governance, fair labor practices, affordable healthcare, lower costs for prescription drugs, children’s mental health, and other key issues.
“Matute-Brown has voiced her support for our critical state-level legislative priorities, including establishing the Prescription Drug Affordability Board to lower the costs of Rx drugs for all NJ residents,” said Liz Glynn, NJCA Director of Organizing. “Additionally, she is committed to spreading the word about children’s health insurance coverage for families, which was expanded with the Cover All Kids legislation. Matute-Brown will prove a committed, dedicated, local progressive leader if elected as Mayor.”
NJ Citizen Action adds their support to a growing list of endorsements for Mayoral candidate Cindy Matute-Brown. Additional endorsements include CWA, Loretta PAC, Latina Civic, NJ Working Families Party, NJ Young Democrats, Elect Women NJ, Essex Rising, Steven Goldstein founder of Garden State Equality, as well as West Orange Education Association and NJEA.
